Privacy Policy

Bells & Balance Massage (“Bells & Balance,” “we,” “us”) is a licensed massage therapy practice in Frisco, Texas. We keep the information we collect to what we actually need to book your appointments, take payment, and give you a safe, effective session. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Contact and booking details — your name, email, phone number, and appointment history.
• Health and medical information — through our intake form we ask about conditions, injuries, areas of pain, allergies, pregnancy, recent surgeries, and current medications. We also keep a signed liability waiver from your first visit.
• Payment information — deposits and payments are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is entered with Stripe and we never see or store it; we keep only basic records such as the amount, date, and a receipt reference.
• Basic website data — standard information a website receives, such as your browser type and pages viewed, used to keep the site working.

Why we collect health and medication information

This is the most sensitive information we hold, so we want to be clear about it. We ask about your health, medical history, and medications for one reason: to give you a massage that is safe for you. Some conditions and some medications change whether massage is appropriate, which techniques and pressure are safe, and which areas to avoid. Sharing this information lets Kyle adapt the session, or, when something is contraindicated, recommend you check with your doctor first.

We use your health information only to plan and perform your massage therapy and to keep accurate treatment records. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not sell it.

How we protect it, and who can see it

Your health and intake information is treated as confidential. It is seen only by Kyle and anyone directly helping run the practice who needs it to serve you. Records are kept in access-controlled systems, and physical paperwork (such as a signed waiver) is stored securely.

We are a small Texas practice, not a hospital or insurance company, so HIPAA may not apply to us the way it does to those providers. Even so, we choose to treat your health details with that same level of care and discretion.

We do not sell your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or health information to anyone. We share information only in these limited situations:

• With service providers that make the business run — for example Stripe for payments and our booking/website hosting — and only the data they need to do that job.
• When the law requires it, such as a valid court order or subpoena.
• If you ask us to share it (for example, coordinating with another provider you name).

How long we keep it

We keep treatment and booking records while you are a client and for a reasonable period afterward, consistent with sound massage-therapy record-keeping and any legal or tax requirements. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it securely.

Your choices — access and deletion

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct anything that’s wrong, or delete your records. Just email BellsandBalanceMassage@gmail.com or call 469-850-3306 and tell us what you’d like. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep the minimum records the law requires us to retain, but otherwise we’ll honor your request.

Children

Our services and website are intended for adults. Minors are seen only with a parent or legal guardian’s involvement and consent.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
